Reflection 24/07/2023 - 27/07/2023
Education is not only confined inside the classroom; students must also explore the scientific world outside. School authorities organised a science fair this week. Social science and work experience exhibitions also be part of this. Students from each class participated in at least one item. Coin collection, puppet making, jewellery making, scientific innovations, geometries, food festivals, etc. were included. Teachers from higher secondary departments valued each other's work. 9c became the overall champion. 10B and 8B were in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively.
The effort of the students was huge. Teachers provided full support for them. The scientific attitudes and approaches of students were changed through these fairs. Not only the intellectual capacity but also the creativity and decision-making capacity of students are enhanced through these programmes.
Old Age Day Celebration
JRC cadets of the school celebrated Old Age Day. Lalithamma, a senior citizen, was honoured by them. She gave education to two orphan grandchildren, and she was an inspiration and motivation to the younger generation. That moment was priceless. Many emotional moments passed. Not only guests but also audience members witnessed that programme with watery eyes.
Soft ball and throw-ball training
With the collaboration of the physical education department and town police, softball and throw-ball training was provided to SPC cadets at our school. The trainer provided tips and practise for the children. Those programmes helped analyse students physical competency and capacity.
Malayalam quiz competition
For secondary students, a Malayalam quiz competition was organised. 20 students participated. Gayatri tr and Pooja tr were the quiz masters. From those, three were selected for higher-level competition.
